Today, we celebrate voluntary blood donors, whose contributions are vital.
According to the American Red Cross, blood is needed every two seconds in the U.S., with approximately 29,000 units of red blood cells required daily. Each year, around 6.8 million Americans donate blood, and just one donation can save up to three lives, making this selfless act incredibly meaningful and worthy of recognition.
As we honor those who give the gift of life, let us all be inspired by their generosity and consider how we, too, can make a difference. Whether by donating blood or spreading awareness, every effort counts.
Together, we can help ensure that life-saving blood is always available for those in need.
